MEET THE TEAM

HEAD COACH

Giannis Valkoumas

With a PhD in Sports Biomechanics, research experience on biomechanical analysis of swimming and author of many scientific papers, Giannis brings a wealth of knowledge to the pool. He has coached swimmers in the Junior Olympics, the Mediterranean Games, European Multinational Competitions and was one of Greece’s National Team coaches. He also has an international swimming background with his highest achievement of 5th place in the Junior Olympics 1997 for 100m butterfly.

HEAD COACH

Gianna Piastopoulou

Gianna has a master’s degree of Science in Sports Management. She is an international level swimmer with top achievements of 6th place in the European Championship 2000 and 5th place in the World Student Championship 2001. Gianna is a highly experienced coach with over 12 years’ experience working with 10-13 year old swimmers. She is an expert coach in the development of age group swimmers.
